Who is responsible

Optimum Edge Holdings (Pty) Ltd (56 Grey Street, Kensington B, Randburg, Gauteng 2194) decides why and how your information is used. Tshepo Mohlatlole, Founder & Director, is the responsible person for privacy questions.

What we collect and why

Enquiry and quotation details

Your name, email address, phone number, the company or intent you selected, your message, and any structured details you supply (for example ice product, quantity, delivery area and required date).

Why: To answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, and keep a record of what was agreed.

Client portal account

Your name, email address, and the role and company your account is linked to. Authentication is handled by Clerk; we do not see or store your password.

Why: To give you access to the right records and nothing else.

Basic technical data

Standard web server and analytics data such as pages requested and approximate region.

Why: To keep the site working and understand which pages are useful.

We only ask for what we need to reply properly. Fields marked optional can be left blank without affecting your enquiry.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and quotations are kept for 5 years. Where an enquiry becomes an order or invoice, the resulting financial records are kept for the same period, because South African tax law requires supporting records to be retained. Portal accounts are kept for as long as the account is active, and removed on request once there is no longer a record-keeping obligation.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. It is handled by the people in the group who need it to respond to you, and by the service providers that run this platform on our behalf — our authentication provider (Clerk), our database and hosting providers. Where an enquiry is meant for one of our operating companies, it is passed to that company so they can respond.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or out of date
• Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep
• Object to how we are using your information
• Complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa
